This is an indoor playground project we completed for a customer in Florida, USA. The total available space is approximately 150 square meters, with around 70 square meters allocated to the indoor playground. The remaining space was reserved as a comfortable area where parents can sit, relax, and keep an eye on their children while they play.

From a Local Need to a Business Opportunity

The customer noticed that there were very few playground facilities in the surrounding area, even though there were many young children living nearby. Every day, children could often be seen playing outdoors. However, when it rained, they had very few options and had to stay at home.

The customer also spoke with local parents and discovered another important need. Many parents were tired from taking care of their children every day and wanted a place where their children could play safely while they could have some time to relax, work, or simply enjoy a break.

This gave the customer the idea of creating a small but comfortable indoor playground where children can play safely while parents can relax nearby. Seeing the potential business opportunity, the customer contacted us and asked us to provide the layout design and overall planning for the project.

Space-Efficient Indoor Playground Design

Because the total space was only around 150㎡ and part of the area needed to be reserved for parents, we carefully planned approximately 70㎡ for the indoor playground.

The surrounding area mainly has younger children, so we designed the playground primarily for children aged 3–12 years old. Instead of filling the entire space with large structures, we selected a variety of popular children’s play equipment to create a compact, engaging, and comfortable play environment.

The playground includes:

• Children’s slides – One of the most popular attractions for young children.
• Ball pool – A colorful and interactive play area where children can jump, crawl, and play with balls.
• Trampoline – Children in this age group naturally enjoy jumping and active physical play.
• Soft climbing equipment – Designed for children who love climbing while providing a softer and safer playing environment.
• Merry-Go-Round – A fun spinning attraction that allows children to enjoy an exciting but simple play experience.
• Zipline – Adds an extra element of excitement and adventure to the playground.
• Soft play toys – Additional play elements that encourage children to explore and interact with the space.

Although the playground is not very large, the combination of different play activities makes full use of the available space. Children can stay active and entertained while parents can comfortably sit nearby and supervise them.
