This outdoor playground project was completed for a hotel client in Indonesia with a total investment of approximately USD 20,000. The client operates a chain of hotels and wanted to create a family-friendly environment by providing a free outdoor playground for guests’ children.
The client’s goal was simple: attract more families and make their hotel stand out from competitors. Since many nearby hotels do not offer dedicated children’s play facilities, adding a playground became a unique selling point. Families traveling with children are much more likely to choose a hotel that provides safe and entertaining activities for kids.
Before placing the order, a team of five representatives from the client visited China to inspect potential suppliers. During their trip, they visited our company as well as several other playground manufacturers. Because it was their first time in China, transportation and communication were not always convenient. To help them better understand the industry, we personally drove them to visit other suppliers and compare different products.
After evaluating multiple companies, the client ultimately chose to cooperate with us. They believed our product quality, pricing, and customer service offered the best overall value among all the suppliers they visited.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was Indonesia’s tropical climate. The client explained that the region experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, so the playground needed excellent anti-rust performance and long-term durability.
Initially, the client preferred a stainless steel slide because they believed it looked more premium and modern. However, after discussing the local climate conditions, we recommended a high-quality plastic slide instead. Stainless steel slides can absorb and retain significant heat under direct sunlight, making them uncomfortable for children during hot weather. Plastic slides remain cooler, are more cost-effective, and require less maintenance. After considering these factors, the client decided that the plastic slide was the better solution.
To make the playground more attractive and engaging, the client did not want to install only a slide. Therefore, they also selected swings and outdoor musical play equipment to provide children with a wider variety of activities. We further enhanced the play value by incorporating climbing elements into the slide structure, creating a more interactive and challenging experience.
For the safety surface, we supplied 25 mm thick rubber safety tiles. Compared with concrete flooring, rubber flooring provides better shock absorption, a softer walking surface, and increased protection for children during play.
To reduce installation costs, we provided detailed installation manuals and technical guidance. The client hired a local installation team, and because they were eager to open the playground quickly, several workers completed the installation in only three days. The final result exceeded expectations, and the client shared photos showing a beautiful and professional playground that perfectly complemented the hotel environment.
