Outdoor Relaxing Swing Set – Sit or Lie Down Stainless Steel Design for Playground & Backyard
This customized outdoor swing is made with galvanized steel posts and a stainless steel seat. The posts can also be upgraded to stainless steel, although this option will be significantly more expensive.
This swing is suitable for both playgrounds and backyards. Unlike traditional swings that are only designed for sitting, this model allows users to both sit and lie down. Whether you’re in a good mood or just want to relax, you can lie on it to take a nap, read a book, or enjoy a cup of coffee.

Children of all ages generally enjoy the sensations created while swinging. Mostly they sit on the swings; however, it is common to see children jumping off swings. Younger children also tend to swing on their stomachs, and older children may stand on the seats. To prevent injuries, these behaviors should be discouraged.

Swings may be divided into two distinct types:
Single axis: Sometimes called a to-fro swing. A single-axis swing is intended to swing back and forth in a single plane and generally consists of a seat supported by at least two suspending members, each of which is connected to a separate pivot on an overhead structure.
Multi-axis: A multi-axis swing consists of a seat (generally a tire) suspended from a single pivot that permits it to swing in any direction.
Fiber ropes are not recommended as a means of suspending swings since they may degrade over time.

We offer different types of swing seat accessories to meet the needs of children of different ages. For example, we have baby swing seats suitable for children aged 0–2 years, as well as standard swing seats designed for children aged 3 years and above.

Our swing seats are available in various materials, including plastic, EVA, and steel rope. These options provide different levels of comfort, durability, and safety, making them suitable for a wide range of playground projects.

Customers can choose the swing seat type according to their project requirements, ensuring the playground is safe and enjoyable for children of all ages.
We can also provide customized swing accessories to match different playground designs and installation requirements.

Many manufacturers in the market use plastic-coated chains for swing seats. However, this type of chain has some disadvantages. The plastic coating can easily crack over time, and once it cracks, the metal inside may be exposed to moisture and start to rust.
Some suppliers use stainless steel chains, which help prevent rust. However, the gaps between the chain links are often too large. If a child accidentally puts their finger into the gap, it may get stuck and cause injury, as shown in the picture.

Our swing chains are made of high-quality stainless steel, and the gap between the chain links is less than 8 mm, which complies with international playground safety standards. This design effectively prevents children’s fingers from getting trapped, ensuring a safer play experience.
This safety-focused design provides better durability and protection, making our playground equipment safer and more reliable for children.

Our swings comply with international safety standards and have been exported to over 100 countries worldwide. If you are interested in our products, please feel free to contact us anytime.

Safety & Certifications

It is strictly prohibited to select chains with an opening gap ranging from 8mm to 25mm for children’s swings. Such a gap is highly likely to trap and injure children’s fingers, posing severe safety risks.

To ensure full compliance with international safety standards, the opening gap of your swing chains must meet one of the following two criteria:
1.≤ 8mm (recommended for child safety)
2.> 25mm (no entrapment risk)
Our swing chains feature an opening gap of less than 8mm, fully meeting and exceeding the required safety regulations.

Hardware used to secure the suspending elements to the swing seat and to the supporting structure should not be removable without the use of tools.
S-hooks are often part of a swing’s suspension system, either attaching the suspending elements to the overhead support bar or to the swing seat. Open S-hooks can catch a child’s clothing and present a strangulation hazard. hooks should be pinched closed. An S-hook is considered closed if there is no gap or space greater than 0.04 inches (about the thickness of a dime).
Swings should be suspended from support structures that discourage climbing.
A-frame support structures should not have horizontal cross-bars.

Swing structures should be located away from other equipment or activities to help prevent young children from inadvertently running into the path of moving swings. Additional protection can be provided by means of a low blockade such as a fence or hedge around the
perimeter of the swing area. The blockade should not be an obstacle within the use zone of a swing structure or hamper supervision by blocking visibility
The use zone to the front and rear of single-axis swings should never overlap the use zone of another piece of equipment.
To minimize the likelihood of children being struck by a moving swing, it is recommended that no more than two single-axis swings be hung in each bay of the supporting structure.

Ground Clearance and Lateral Stability for Multi‑Point Fixed Swings
Minimum Space Between Swings
Minimum horizontal distance from swing seat edge to swing frame at rest:
20% of swing rope length + 200 mm
Minimum horizontal distance between edges of two swing seats at rest:
20% of swing rope length + 300 mm
when the swing reaches a 90° angle, the distance from the seat plane to the central axis shall be at least 400 mm.

For swing seats with one or more rotating shafts and a width of 500mm or less, the minimum width of the fall protection zone shall be 1.75 meters. For swing seats exceeding 500mm in width, the fall protection zone width must be extended by the value obtained by subtracting 500mm from the actual seat width.
Where a Type 3 swing seat is equipped with a backrest, the angle between the backrest and the seat must stay unchanged during the swing’s motion. The gap between the backrest and the seat shall be maintained within the range of 60mm to 75mm.
The fixed mounting point shall be designed to prevent swing ropes from twisting or tangling while the swing is in motion.
If the universal joint is not specifically designed and produced for Type 3 single-point fixed swings, an auxiliary swing seat support device must be fitted to prevent safety hazards caused by the failure of the main joint.
ype 4 swing seats shall be designed to prevent children from jumping towards the central shaft; this can be implemented by installing vertical tires or restraining bars.

Installation & Maintenance

We provide detailed assembly instructions to ensure customers can install playground equipment by themselves.
We offer comprehensive installation manuals for all outdoor slides to ensure a safe, smooth and enjoyable installation process.
Our swing can be installed with either in-ground anchoring or expansion bolts on concrete. We provide detailed installation instructions, and our team can also offer on-site or remote installation support if needed.

If your grouond is concrete, we recommend choosing surface mount type, please ensure the concrete is 15cm thick. If the concrete is too thin, the expansion screws can crack or crumble under stress (especially upward pull and lateral rocking forces), rendering the anchor ineffective and potentially causing the slide to tip over.
If your ground is grass or sand, we recommend choosing inground type. This requires digging some 30-60cm deep pits and then pouring concrete to fix it when installing both are very secure; it all depends on the type of floor you have.

How to Maintain the Swing
1.Weekly Routine Inspection: Check chains for cracks, deformation, rust or welding failure; inspect the plastic/rubber coating for damage. Ensure all hooks, universal joints and fasteners are tight, with compliant opening gaps to avoid finger entrapment. Check the swing seat for cracks and burrs, and verify the support structure is stable without shaking.
2.Monthly/Quarterly Maintenance: Remove slight rust on chains and apply anti-rust oil or lubricant; lubricate movable joints regularly to reduce wear. Retighten all screws, bolts and nuts to keep the swing stable.
3.Cleaning & Storage: Wipe the swing with clean water daily; avoid strong acid/alkali cleaners. Dry accumulated water and snow after rainy/snowy days, and cover the swing with a waterproof cover when not in use for a long time.
Safety Taboos: Do not overload the swing; stop using it immediately if any component is damaged or rusted seriously. Do not refit the swing or use non-compliant accessories without permission.
